These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cosmos platform, including our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Cosmos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Cosmos," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
01 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cosmos, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- You agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
- If you are using the Platform on behalf of a company or organization, you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
02 Eligibility
To use Cosmos, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable law.
- Not have had a previous Cosmos account terminated for violations of these Terms.
Cosmos is a professional networking platform. By joining, you confirm that you are participating in a professional capacity and will maintain a respectful, authentic presence.
03 Your Account
Registration & Authenticity
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Profiles must represent real people. Creating fake or misleading profiles is strictly prohibited.
- You may not impersonate another person or misrepresent your professional credentials.
- One account per person. Operating multiple accounts is not permitted.
Account Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at security@cosmosapp.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts showing signs of compromise.
04 Platform Use
You may use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Cosmos is a high-trust professional environment. Our community standards are non-negotiable:

- Constructive, respectful, and substantive conversations.
- Honest peer endorsements and feedback.
- Reporting users who violate community standards.
❌ Zero Tolerance For
- Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior.
- Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or other protected characteristics.
- Unsolicited sales pitches or promotional content.
- Sharing explicit, violent, or inappropriate content.
- Creating a hostile or unwelcoming environment for any member.
Violations may result in warnings, temporary restrictions, permanent bans, or legal action depending on severity.
06 Connections & Platform Limits
To preserve the quality and intentionality of networking on Cosmos:
- Connection Limit: Users are limited to 10 meaningful new connections per month. This is a core product principle, not a technical bug.
- Mutual Connections Only: Conversations are only initiated when both parties express mutual interest (mutual swipe). There is no cold messaging.
- Anti-Spam: Repeated reports for unsolicited outreach will trigger progressive penalties: warning → restricted visibility → account suspension.
- Warm Introductions: You may request introductions through mutual connections. Misrepresenting the nature of an intro request is a violation of these Terms.
07 Events & Payments
Event Participation
- By registering for an event, you commit to attending. Repeated no-shows may affect your event access.
- All events are conducted in a structured, timed format. Participants must engage respectfully and adhere to round rules.
- AI-generated meeting summaries are shared only with the relevant participants and are stored in their private Conversations workspace.
Paid Events
- Payment is required at registration. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Refund Policy: Refunds may be issued if you attend and receive a feedback rating above a platform-defined threshold. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event are eligible for a full refund.
- Cosmos is not responsible for the quality of interactions at events, though we do moderate events and take reports seriously.
08 Intellectual Property
Our Platform
The Cosmos Platform, including its design, code, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Cosmos Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you post on Cosmos (profile information, messages, notes). By posting content, you grant Cosmos a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and transmit your content solely as necessary to operate the Platform and provide the Services.
We will never sell or commercially exploit your user-generated content without your explicit consent.
09 AI Features
Cosmos uses AI to provide features like meeting summaries and follow-up suggestions. By using AI features, you acknowledge:
- AI-generated summaries are automated and may not be 100% accurate. Always review them before taking action.
- Your conversation data may be processed by AI systems to generate summaries and suggestions. This is done under strict data processing agreements.
- AI-generated content does not constitute professional advice (legal, financial, medical, etc.).
- You can disable AI summary features in your account settings at any time.
- We do not train general-purpose AI models on your private conversations without explicit consent.
10 Termination
By You
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by emailing support@cosmosapp.io. Account deletion will remove your public profile and begin the data deletion process as described in our Privacy Policy.
By Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms or our community guidelines.
- Your conduct poses a risk to other users or the integrity of the Platform.
- We are required to do so by law.
- We discontinue the Platform or a feature you were using.
In cases of non-severe violations, we will typically issue a warning before suspension. For severe violations (harassment, fraud, etc.), we reserve the right to take immediate action.
11 Disclaimers
THE COSMOS PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- That the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content or AI-generated summaries.
- The success or quality of any professional connections, events, or introductions made through the Platform.
Cosmos is a platform that facilitates connections; we are not responsible for the actions, behavior, or reliability of individual members.
12 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COSMOS TECHNOLOGIES PVT. LTD. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Platform.
- Any content posted by other users.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
- Any third-party conduct or content accessible through the Platform.
In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) INR 5,000 (approx. USD 60).
13 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, specifically the applicable laws of the state of Karnataka, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
Notwithstanding the above, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
