Welcome to Cosmos ("we," "our," or "us"). Cosmos is a professional networking platform, and the safety of children on our platform is our utmost priority. We are committed to keeping Cosmos free of child sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and related harms. This policy outlines our standards, reporting procedures, and legal compliance.
01 Standards Against CSAE
Cosmos maintains a strict, zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We prohibit any form of child abuse, sexualization, or exploitation on our platform. Prohibited behaviors and content include, but are not limited to:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Generating, uploading, sharing, or facilitating access to any visual media depicting minors in sexually explicit situations.
- Child Grooming and Solicitation: Using the platform to establish relationships with minors for the purpose of sexual exploitation, abuse, or trafficking.
- Sexualization of Minors: Any text, image, or discussion that sexualizes children or encourages sexual activities involving minors.
- Facilitating Trafficking: Organizing, advertising, or promoting child exploitation or trafficking networks.
02 In-App User Feedback & Reporting
To ensure safe interactions, Cosmos provides easily accessible reporting and feedback tools directly in the mobile application. If you encounter any suspicious activity, behavior, or content, please use the following reporting procedure:
Tap the three dots (...) on the top right of the user's profile card, select Report User, and choose Child Safety Violation.
Press and hold the offending message inside a chat window, tap Report Message, and choose Child Safety Concern.
In the event description page, tap the Report link, select the concern, and submit with additional comments.
Visit the app's Settings menu, click Help & Support, and submit a ticket under the category Child Safety Urgent Report.
All reports flagged under Child Safety are routed immediately to our dedicated 24/7 security response team for verification.
03 Addressing CSAM (Action Procedure)
Cosmos will take immediate, decisive action upon finding or receiving notice of potential Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or CSAE behavior:
What Violators Face
- Immediate Account Termination: The violating user's account will be permanently deactivated.
- Hardware and IP Blacklisting: The violator's device identifiers, hardware configurations, and IP addresses will be blocked from accessing Cosmos permanently.
- Data Preservation: Relevant data (logs, IP addresses, messages, uploads) will be preserved for law enforcement hand-off.
Cosmos Remediation Actions
- Rapid Content Removal: Offending content will be taken offline immediately (typically within minutes of the report).
- Media Hashing: CSAM signatures will be hashed and cross-referenced to prevent re-uploading.
- Proactive Review: Content filters proactively screen uploaded media for potential safety issues.
04 Compliance with Child Safety Laws
We comply with all applicable child safety laws, data privacy acts, and reporting regulations, including:
- NCMEC Mandatory Reporting: In compliance with federal law (18 U.S.C. §§ 2258A and 2258C), Cosmos reports all instances of CSAM that we become aware of to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.
- POCSO Act (India): As Cosmos is operated and managed from India, we comply fully with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. We report offenses to the cyber crime police cell and relevant legal authorities.
- COPPA & GDPR-K: Cosmos is strictly intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, store, or solicit data from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K).
